SORRENTO – A day’s visit to the very famous town of Sorrento (land of the mermaids).While in Sorrento take a walk around the historical centre, visiting Torquato Tasso’s home, the Correale
Museum to see some of the fine works of art in inlaid woodwork and the 14th Century Roman
Cathedral of Saint Antonino , the Patron Saint and Protector of Sorrento. Walk along the old
walls of the town which was once the defence system against invasion.
During your visit take time to have a drink in one of the many bars, or lunch in a typical restaurant
and why not try the world famous lemon liqueur ‘Limoncello’.
THE THERMAL SPAS OF STABIA – Have a relaxing day in the Spa, well-known since the 2nd Century B.C. with 300 spring waters, known for their healing and relaxing properties.
POZZUOLI – A day visiting the Solfatara, see the bubbling geysers from the underground volcano and smell the sulphur in the air. Take in the Serapeum Temple with the phenomenon of Bradyseish. Take time to enjoy lunch or have a drink en route.
